Bloggers – How Will You Use Your Voice?

As a blogger I have the ability to voice my opinion, express in words my deepest most personal thoughts. It’s that voice that is powerful. More recently than ever I see bloggers who have sat down and taken the time to write posts filled with complaints.

Is ReBlogging The Same As ReTweeting

With all the talk of plagarisim, FTC guidelines and transparency what about bloggers taking responsibilities for themselves? It seems common practice among those review bloggers who pump out reviews to just copy and paste content press releases. They pass them along as legitimate well thought out reviews and or giveaways, and no one says a… [Continue Reading]

Under Construction, Again!

I know what you’re thinking, “she’s revamping her site again?” I’ve decided to switch my template to Thesis and already, I’m impressed.
After you purchase it, it says to grab some caffeine and crack out. It’s true, I’m forcing myself to keep my hands off it for now, since midterms are coming up.
What do you think?… [Continue Reading]

Community Vs. Clique

I know a few wonderful pieces have been written on the idea that blogging is a little like high school. ok a lot! And while I agree I think there’s a better explanation. Last week our family attending a blogging event while on our way home Del cracked open one of his books. We… [Continue Reading]

Bloggy Events: The Truth

I’ve been invited on many trips. Hallmark, General Mills, and last week Ninja. Bloggers are clamoring to be invited on these so called “free trips”. As an attendee let me tell you the trips aren’t free.  On average for my “free bloggy trips” I spend $100. NYC obviously was closer to $500…. [Continue Reading]

This morning I was asked to take part in a Q&A about PR Blackout. I’ve heard the story enough times to know what its about. I understand Trisha of MomDot’s point that it was taken from a chat session they have each week. This is what gets me, which is not about the whole… [Continue Reading]

Carpet Bagging Mommy BLoggers? What About…

The past few days there have been a number of wonderful posts swarming around the blogsphere some I personally agree with others I do not. Bloggers: Essentially Selling Contact Info

I’ve been on many lists, and contacted many times (too many to count) for different purposes. From pitches, to campaigns you name it, it’s come into my email.
There’s a new phenomenon where bloggers are creating review sites and “helping” others get reviews. That’s great! That’s what we do at Extraordinary Mothers, which by… [Continue Reading]

Read More Options On Blogs Are They a Scam?

I made my way around the blogsphere the other day and I noticed a few things. A lot of people have switched to wordpress blogs and have gotten the “read more” options. So I really started thinking to myself about the “read more” option and what the perks are.
I’ve heard girls bragging on their blogs… [Continue Reading]
