FEATURED Fun Foods for Families Halloween Holiday Recipes Uncategorized

I love cooking with my girls and I know that they enjoy it just as much as I do. Working full time I feel very much like I miss my children. I was always a stay at home mom who ran my business, this blog full time form home. Going back to work full time has been new for our entire family so it’s left me really wanting to spend every moment while I am at home with my girls. I feel like I often took the simple things for granted before, like just the simple act of baking in the afternoon. I miss that so I find myself going out of y way to make sure I am still doing these things with our girls. Recipes For Kids - Frankenstein Brownies

Recipes For Kids - Frankenstein BrowniesKids love to get their hands messy and they love to help create things in the kitchen. I suggest you let the kiddos be involved and now that my girls are getting older I am allowing them to do things themselves. I am letting go of trying to control every project and have everything be totally perfect. I think it’s better for my girls and me because I am allowing them to find their own creativity. Plus it’s really all about making memories! This would even be a fun recipe to let the kiddos make at our annual Halloween party.

Recipes For Kids - Frankenstein BrowniesI let our youngest daughter Mia take control and decorate her brownies by herself. Allowing her to do it herself gave her a sense of accomplishment and helps to build self confidence.

You could easily purchase brownies already made and create these as well. We just baked our favorite brownie recipe into mini loaf pans and used the small brownies that we made. These can be done ahead of time easily or you could allow each kid to decorate their own. I know we are planning on doing this again for our Girl Scout troop meeting.

So this fall I’m planning on siting back and controlling less. Allowing my girls to just be and just to have fun. Isn’t that what’s it is all about anyhow?

Those are adorable brownies. It’s great that you had your youngest do the decorating. She did a good job.

I love everything about these! Brownies are always a good choice, they look cute, and anytime you add frosting to anything, it’s a winner.
