DIY Bubble Gum Scented Valentine PlaydoughMy kids love to do DIY projects so this bubble gum scented Valentine playdough is the perfect activity to do with them. One thing they love to do is make things with their hands and I enjoy letting them be creative. Making your own play dough is really fun and easy to do.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 Tablespoon bubblegum flavoring
  • 2-3 drops pink food coloring (Amazon link below)

DIY Bubble Gum Scented Valentine Playdough In a medium mixing bowl, add the flour, salt and cream of tartar.  Whisk to combine and set aside. DIY Bubble Gum Scented Valentine Playdough   In a large saucepan, add the water, oil, bubblegum flavoring and pink food coloring. Whisk to distribute the oils and coloring evenly. DIY Bubble Gum Scented Valentine Playdough  Add the flour mixture and stir well until the flour lumps have disappeared.  Heat the saucepan under medium heat.  Stir constantly until a stiff ball of dough forms (3-4 minutes). (It will resemble a thick lump of mashed potatoes). Remove from heat.
DIY Bubble Gum Scented Valentine Playdough  Knead the warm playdough on a flat workspace for about 5 minutes.  Enjoy the sweet aroma of bubblegum as you use your fingers to make the dough soft and pliable.

My nieces are crazy about play-doh. I’d love to make this for them, or better yet have them help make it.

This is so awesome! It’s been a while since I made Playdoh for my kids; they have been really into making slime lately. I never thought to scent the playdoh before; my kids would love this. Thanks for sharing.
