We were thrilled to be invited to a fun event that celebrated all things Angry Birds 2 at the Los Angeles Zoo this weekend. Angry Birds 2 is available to own on Blu-ray November 12th!

This movie leaves off where the first one started. Then when a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red, Chuck, and Bomb team up with Leonard and his pigs to form an unlikely superteam to save their homes.

We started the day with Bird Watching the show at the Los Angeles Zoo that features the stories of many of the birds that live at the zoo and how the zoo helps animals in the wild through conservation efforts. Our favorite moments of the day was seeing a California Condor knowing how rare they are. Our seven year old loved the interactive exhibit where she was able to pretend to care for a sick condor. She said this was her favorite part of the day.

We also went on a private tour of the zoo and loved exploring the different exhibits. The best things about movies like Angry Birds 2 is that they give wildlife a voice and seeing kids connect with that wildlife in real life is truly priceless. Plus the hatchlings are not to be missed, they so so cute!!!

The best movies help bring a deeper connection to my kids and to myself and Angry Birds 2 is just another memorable movie for the entire family to enjoy together.

Then we actually got to take a drawing lesson and watch a few clips from the bonus materials on the Blu-ray. You’ll have to watch and tell us what you think of Bird Watching too! The drawing lesson was so fun and a great way to end such a fun day at the Los Angeles Zoo.

You can catch Angry Birds 2 on Blu-ray from Sony Pictures, on Apple iTunes and on Amazon.
