Our Cinderella Day Learning To Sew

You are here: Home / Everything Disney / Our Cinderella Day Learning To Sew

Everything Disney Everything SoCal Family Travel With Kids FEATURED

We attended a fun Cinderella themed sewing event at SewFYI in the heart of downtown LA this weekend. This area is going through a major revitalization and there is so much going on and things to do so we were excited to attend.

Sitting on east 6th street is this open co-working studio that was the perfect setting for this fun Cinderella event. We were taught and given the materials and tools to create our own Cinderella Apron. SewFYI is a neat place that allows creators and learners a place to produce whatever they can imagine.

Being complete Disney fans, this was such a fun thing to do. Not only did we get to learn to sew, but we also made something from one of the girl’s favorite movies. Speaking of Cinderella, Disney’s has released the Cinderella Anniversary Edition.

Mia did a great job sewing on her own. What was fun was helping her. Showing her that dads can sew too. Brooklin who is 10, she took care of sewing her own apron. Mia was so excited about her apron that her teacher asked her to bring it into her 1st grade class today to share all about her experience.

Learning to sew really did make us feel like we were living a moment that Cinderella did. Falling in love with the movie early in my childhood I couldn’t wait to share it with my children one day. Now getting to share this experience with our daughters was such a joy.

You can catch Cinderella Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray now. This newest Anniversary Edition has even more bonus features with over two hours of added content. There’s no better way to celebrate 30 years of Cinderella than with a stunning new copy of the original motion picture.

Do you love Cinderella as much as we do?
