I really do enjoy finding new ways to naturally sweeten our food. Maple is a great way to sweeten your food naturally. Maple sugar from Republic of Vermont is one of my newest favorite finds for my kitchen.

One of the things I like how about this company is that they’re making organic products right in their community and suppling them across the country. So while I can’t actually get to Vermont from California I can still have the best products right in my kitchen!

Being a vegetarian myself I really do eat a lot of plant based meals. I’ve found some of the easiest ways to make sure you eat enough veggies is to prep ahead of time. I love to prep roasted vegetables and they’re so simple to make. You can literally roast almost anything.

Using an all natural sweetener like honey or maple is one of the best things I have done this last year and I’m loving the many products from Republic of Vermont .

Making roasted sweet potatoes is one of our family favorites. They’re so easy to make and to sweeten them up just slightly we add 1 TBSP of Vermont Maple Sugar.

I just roasted these sliced organic sweet potatoes at 400 degrees for 20 minutes and they’re just perfect for salads. We don’t use any dressing just add veggies and top with roasted sweet potatoes. This simple meal is a family favorite!

You can find these products and more at Republic of Vermont.

What are your favorite simple salad toppings?
