Preschool Fun During HalloweenTime at the Disneyland Resort

Disneyland Everything Disney Everything SoCal Family Travel With Kids FEATURED Halloween Uncategorized

HalloweenTime is just getting started at the Disneyland Resort and it’s now more fun than ever to plan your stay. My favorite thing about celebrating HalloweenTime at Disneyland is that it’s not too spooky for the little ones to enjoy in the fun. We were invited for some fun at the Disneyland Resort with our preschooler and we wanted to share some of our best tips for enjoying HalloweenTime with your preschooler this October.

One of my first tips for anyone visiting for the first time is to purchase your ticket with MaxPass. Even with preschoolers you can get valuable family moments captured by one of the many incredible Disneyland PhotoPass Photographers.  It’s one of the best ways to capture the best family moments this season. You could literally spend three days at the the Disneyland Resort this HalloweenTime and just barely see and do it all. There’s so much fun to be had in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. One of my best tips for parents bringing small children into the theme parks is to take advantage of the Baby Care Center located right on Main Street U.S.A. inside Disneyland Park and the Pacific Warf over at Disney California Adventure Park. Inside there you will find everything you need form extra diapers, wipes, formula and anything you may have lost or left behind. Other features include a toddler sized potty that flushes gently, there’s also changing areas that are comfortable for babies and nursing areas for moms who wish to utilize them. I often would sneak into the Baby Care Center to nurse my girls when they were babies so I love the newest updates to the center and I hope you will utilize them during your visit this fall.

Your family can enjoy Halloween fun at each of the Disneyland Resort Hotels through October 31st. Over at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa there’s a giant Oogie Boogie rice krispie treat pumpkin in the lobby. It’s filled the entire lobby with a sweet scent so be sure to grab an assortment of HalloweenTime cookies at the Great Hall Holiday Cart inside the lobby.

Plus starting on October 2nd every Tuesday and Friday during the month you can sign your kiddos up for the Halloween Fun Time Center. There’s trick or treat bag decorating plus 3 treat locations your kiddos can get candy from right inside each of the resort hotels form 2-5PM. There’s also cookie decorating for $6.00 each.

This October you can spook up your room with some in room celebrations from Disney Floral and Gifts. Imagine coming back to your room at the end of the night with your room delightfully decorated in fun surprises for your kiddo. It’s sure to be the perfect ending to your magical day. I know our girls love these kinds of surprises.
Enjoy Halloween style dining around the resort you will find a wide assortment of treats that are almost too sweet to eat. Some of our favorite things are the Sweet Potato Hand Pie and the Mickey Mummy Macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery. One of our favorite spots in Disneyland Park is the Mint Julep Bar and seasonally the offerings change. Right now you will find delicious Pumpkin Spice Beignets and next door at Café Orleans you will find Crab and Corn Chowder that comes in a bread bowl. It’s the perfect fall food to warm you up and so delicious that our preschooler couldn’t get enough.

You will find a number of other healthy kid meals at restaurants all around the resort and you can easily make dining reservations right on the Disneyland App. We are big fans of character dining especially with our preschooler. She loves to dance around the restaurant and the all you care to enjoy style is just perfect for our family of five. Everyone gets exactly what they enjoy and the characters spend so much time with you at your table. There’s nothing like starting a magical morning other than breakfast at Mickey’s Tales of Adventure which is at Storytellers Cafe inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Over at Disney’s California Adventure Park you will find delicious treats like my preschoolers personal favorite the “Candy Cone Pie” Cream Pie.  You will also find other delicious treats and even some fun attraction makeovers for Halloween inside Radiator Screams.

Meet fun characters all around the park including our new favorite Disney Junior pal, Vampirina. You can meet her over at Disney California Park right outside the Disney Junior Dance Party.

Plus you can meet other Disney characters all around the parks including Disney Princesses at the Fantasy Faire and Mickey and his pals in their Halloween costumes right on Main Street U.S.A. Our girls had so much fun getting autographs and it’s the perfect activity to do with preschoolers.

Of course we always hit our favorite attractions in Fantastyland at Disneyland Park. We happened to even catch a couple of characters out for spin on the teacups. You can also book a HalloweenTime style makeover at Bippity Boppity Boutique. Call 714-781-STYLE to book.

My favorite thing about the Disneyland Resort and why we enjoy spending so much time at the resort is that there’s so many incredible memories to create with my family and there really is something for everyone in our family.  I love that Disney makes things fun and kid friendly so I can enjoy my preschooler while it lasts. Because the one thing I’ve learned form parenting my three girls is that time passes by so quickly. I just love that we have a place that means so much to our family so close to home.

You can book your vacation package or learn more at Disneyland.com. Also if you are coming to the resort download the Disneyland App right inside the App Store, you can purchase MaxPass, download your PhotoPass photos, see character meeting times, book FASTPASS attractions, dining reservations plus so so much more!
