FEATURED Fun Foods for Families Halloween

It’s that time of year that it’s easy to just make our family meals more fun. Simple additions turn ordinary weeknight meals into extraordinary masterpieces and it’s something that kids will just get a kick out of. My husband has always bene so creative with food and many of these ideas you see here on the blog are actually made by him.

This month we’ve felt a bit bored with dinner. With Halloween here we wanted to have fun with it so my husband made these adorable breads to go with our weeknight dinner. Needless to say, kids love these!

  • 3 stick of string cheese
  • 3 large olives
  • small sliver of onion for spider eyes

Halloween Inspired Meal Idea - Spider Web Bread

This is so simple you just line up the cut olive to each slider and lay the bread with the string cheese. We just baked them at 275 degrees for 15 minutes. The cheese nicely melted and so we just sliced the bread.

We actually served this with a side salad and pasta. It’s so simple and easy to create fun meals for kids. It’s not hard to create something that’s not only delicious and easy but something your kids will get a kick out of. Olives are one of our favorite ways to create spider but you could get creative with other veggies as well.

What a fun way to bring Halloween into a meal. I would have to use something besides olives to make the spiders though. I am the only one who eats them.

My sister in law always make Halloween themed food. I am going to ask her if she has thought of black olive spiders.

Those are so cute and so easy to make. When my daughter was little, we did a whole week of Halloween themed meals and this would be perfect to add to it.
