This is a sponsored post with Werther’s Original. All opinions are our own.

On April 5, Werther’s Original teamed up with Hasbro to host a life-sized edition of the beloved CANDY LAND board game right on Santa Monica Pier. This one-day pop-up was in celebration of Nation Caramel Day, and brought back such fond childhood memories. I remember my grandfather always had Werther’s Original caramels in his pockets. I used to love to sit on the porch outside my grandparents’ house with him and listen to him talk about his life as I’d soak in the heat of summer. Those are my first sweet memories of enjoying caramels.

Caramel lovers in the Santa Monica area celebrated National Caramel Day this year by taking a sweet journey through four tasty lands in CANDY LAND: The Werther’s Caramel Edition Game. The life-sized board game was filled with caramel loaded fun and designed with the original CANDY LAND theme and we actually had the opportunity to check it out ourselves!

My kids love CANDY LAND, so we didn’t miss the chance to check out this specially made game for kids and adults built right on the pier for everyone to enjoy.  This one-day pop-up also let families like ours score some delicious and tasty caramel items from Werther’s Original. From hard, chewy, creamy filled and sugar free caramels to the newest Vanilla and Cocoa Crème Soft Caramels (absolutely just a perfect treat and our newest favorite), Werther’s Original has a caramel flavor for everyone. Then there’s my husband’s favorite, Werther’s Original Classic Caramel and Sea Salt & Pretzel Caramel Popcorn. It’s the perfect snack for any occasion!

What we really like about Werther’s is how it uses ingredients I can understand. While I am not a caramel maker, Werther’s makes it easy to enjoy smooth, creamy one-of-a-kind caramel anywhere. It’s something I also get to share with my family, just like my grandfather did with me, and we can create our own sweet memories.

Our girls got to play the entire game and they said their favorite thing was fishing for the caramels in the Caramel Crème Lagoon. They also loved the Caramel Popcorn Mountains, Werther’s Woods and of course the Caramel Castle!

If you couldn’t make it to the event, you can experience CANDY LAND: The Werther’s Caramel Edition Game online by visiting CaramelDay.com. This digital destination features an online version of the board game and includes Werther’s Original fun facts as you explore the different caramel regions.

You can learn more about Werther’s Original on its website.
