Last month our family visited Arizona and fell in love with that desert Southwest. There’s so much to see and do there so it’s easy to see how we had such a great time. Just 600 miles from our home in California it’s close enough to drive and yet still far enough to be a memorable vacation. This time of year it’s the perfect place to visit to getaway.

It’s time for our weekly reader giveaway!!  We want to inspire your families to get out and take a road trip too. So this giveaway is inspired by that. We want to give you $100 for gas to take a road trip too.

  59. This would definitely be for later in the year, but I have not been to the northwest for many years. Now that my daughter has moved to Seattle, it is a perfect reason to actually do it, and a road trip is the way to go since you can go through some really beautiful country.

  60. We have just recently become snowbirds and live 8 months of the year in Arizona. There are so many road trips we want to take among them are the Grand Canyon, Tombstone,, the various Indian cliff dwellings and the beautiful rock formation parks such as Canyonlands,Bryce etc. So much beauty and awesomeness to take in!

  64. I would love to take a road trip to Oklahoma. We’ve never been there and there is a theme park with a roller coaster I’d love to go on. We’d map out several places to stop along the way and on the way back.

  67. I would love to take my husband on a cross country road trip. I did it with friends when I was in my early 20’s. It was a blast, but we did sleep in our car in truck stops sometimes. LOL. It would be nice to do it again, but this time we will be able to afford to stay in hotels!

  161. I would love to take my step daughter and step son and husband and have our first family vacation going to see my parents back in my home town in Tennessee, and my 12 siblings. I was adopted. So it be nice to go to Tennessee, the up north , then out west , and finally enjoy last of them in Hawaii. Talk about an amazing adventure.

    Family is everything to me. My parents had 9 kids and adopted my twin sister and I and 2 brothers. What amazing parents and family I have. I’ve been remarried for almost 4 years and we can enjoy our honey moon later lol.. Our 6 year old daughter and 18 year old son can enjoy meeting 42 neices and nephews and all the great aunts and uncles etc..

    Just thinking about it makes me so full of joy. It’s hard to get together, but one thing growing up, We always stayed close as family and treasured our 15 passengar van road trips, greyhounds or flying airplanes. Enjoying seeing family and friends and camping .. SO BLESSEd

  165. I would love to take a road trip down the PCH, I was planning it for my honeymoon but we decided on a different trip.

  167. I love to load up the car with friends and head to the beautiful Oregon coast for the day. Walk on the beach, have clam chowder, search for the glass globes the chamber of commerce hides on the beach this time of year and end the day with an hour at the casino.

  168. My Hubby would love to take a road from PA to Alaska and ‘be one with nature’ … I on the other hand would love to go somewhere warm like New Orleans and sightsee. We do take turns>> one year we do nature, and the next city.
