When our kids are sick it’s the worst feeling as a parent. We want nothing more than to help make them feel better and they want nothing more than sleep. Sometimes it’s not easy to make it to the doctor and what if you find yourself really needing advice in the middle of the night? It’s happened to me and the last thing I want to do is wind up in an Emergency Room in the middle of the night for a simple winter cold.
This year the cold and flu season has been especially bad. We have already been sick twice this year. That’s why it’s important for our kids health that we have access to health care providers easily and any time of day. I really like the idea of getting to visit a doctor from home and with Hello Alvin™. For just $15 per online visit, anyone in your family can have a voice or video live doctor consult, 24/7. Plus you can get a prescription or refill, if needed.
Did you know that According to the CDC, 56 percent of children missed up to 5 days of school because of illness or injury. Some children get worse from the germs present in waiting rooms. Hello Alvin™ makes it easier and faster to talk to a healthcare professional at the first sign of illness easily from the comfort of your own home.
I actually used the service in the middle of the night for an ear ache. My daughter had another classic ear infection while we were on vacation but I was able to see a doctor right from my phone and get her the medicine she needed to feel better. It’s also great for common ailments like when my daughter had pink eye. She never had to leave home and was able to see the doctor right on my phone.Right now you can also sign up for Hello Alvin™ and see a doctor right using your smartphone in the comfort of your home or on the road.
Could you ever see yourself using a service like this with your kids?
This is a great service to have! Way easier than a trip to the ER!
Great idea. When you have no one to help make the call, what a great solution. More people need to know about this. Good job!
This is so awesome! I could have used this service a dozen times. Once I called the ER asking if I should come in or not (new medication gave me the shakes). They said they couldn’t tell me to come in or not. I had to make the decision. It was 3:00 in the morning. Not fun. Thank you for mentioning this!
This would be so helpful–my children have been sick so much this winter!
Okay, this is an amazing service!!! With four children it can be difficult to get to the doctor’s office when one is sick. This is absolutely something I would use!!!
