Fun Foods for Families

Need a deliciously easy treat this Christmas? Your entire family will love these chocolate mint creme whoopee pies. Made with rich chocolate and sweet creme these are amazing.

Ingredients – 

  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cups cups butter cubed
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt

Filling Ingredients – 

  • 1/3 cup butter softened
  • 3 cups confectioners sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1/8 tsp peppermint extract

How To – 

  1. In a small sauce pan combine brown sugar, butter and water. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and add in chocolate chips. Stir in chips until smooth then transfer to another bowl.
  2. Add in eggs beating well. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and add to the chocolate mixture slowly.
  3. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  4. Cool completely. Then make the filling. Spread onto cookies and store the pies in the refrigerator
