Living in Southern California there are two things that you know are bound to happen. High costs for rent/living and of course traffic. When we moved from Oregon to California we pretty much started new and bought all new furniture. We moved to a location that was far form the city so the cost of living was cheaper. Except there wasn’t much to do there and after three years we decided to had to move closer to the city. When we moved to Southern California we just were not sure where we wanted to live and now that we know we want to live in Los Angeles or Orange County we know there’s a lot of things to consider. Like schools, you can go two miles down the street and have schools that are rated poorly.

We ended up finding a brand new apartment and settled into a wonderful neighborhood in Orange county with top notch schools. That also meant that we had to compromise, like we went form living in a large home with back yard to living in an apartment. It’s been quite the adjustment but one we were willing to make sacrifices for. The quality of life in the city is just more our speed, we are close to the city and the beach.

3 Simple Reasons Why Families Should Rent Furniture

  1. Save Money – Not only can deciding to rent furniture save you money but it can also offset the costs of moving. Allowing you to move closer to work without having to worry about buying all new furniture for your home.
  2. Kids Are A Mess – Okay lets face it, kids are messy. They grow fast and they outgrow things just as fast. Being a family that rents their home means that layouts often change so the needs of our furniture can quickly change.
  3. Keep It Stress Free – Moving can create so many stresses, between deposits and the financial burdens you occur with a large move. CORT Furniture Rental helps you live stress free by providing high quality furniture for rent for as little or as long as you need it.

I know our family doesn’t plan on staying in an apartment much longer than we have to but it’s nice to know there are quick and easy solutions like CORT Furniture Rental. It makes moving for better opportunity an easy decision and it’s really a great solution for families who are moving for a short period of time like we are. I also like to change things up often so I like that you can easily do that without having to purchase entire new furniture.

I have never thought to rent furniture before. I just assumed renting furniture would be pricey.

I never owned rented furniture before. I can see this being helpful for people who need furniture now and cant afford a whole set in full.

This really is a good idea especially with kids. We will have to consider renting. It would be nice to be able to switch up our sets more often.

You made some great points. We are in need of a different living room set, thinking we should check CORT and see what they have.

Furniture rental is a great idea if you aren’t planning on staying in one place for very long. We will be renting furniture for my daughter next year when she moves into an apartment off campus because it’s a great option until she gets a life plan in place.

I’ve never thought to rent furniture. That’s a good idea though in so many different kinds of situations. I hope your new area is all you want and more.

Renting furniture sounds like a great idea. I’ve been hearing more and more about it, but I’ve never read up on it or anything. Thanks!
