Giveaways Halloween

This is a partnered post with Take Me Fishing™.

halloween fishing game

This summer, our girls discovered an exciting new appreciation for fishing. Fishing is a terrific activity for the whole family because it’s great for both your body and mind. Did you know fishing is actually one of the top activities for mental well-being? I think that’s why kids totally go nuts for anything fishing-related.

Now that fall is here, though, cooler temperatures mean we need to start finding new ways to take our fishing fun indoors. As we get ready for Halloween, we love spending our weekends doing fun fall-themed activities. To get ready for our annual Halloween party, we wanted to come up with a fun game that all the kids will enjoy—and our new love of fishing gave us just the inspiration we needed.

halloween fishing game for kids party

This Halloween we’re having a fun party with some friends. To keep the kiddos busy, we like to play different Halloween games. In the past, we’ve fished for apples, but this year we’re going pumpkin patch fishing! The best part is, you don’t need even need much to make this game a hit—magnets, construction paper, a stick, string and small plastic containers are all you need.

We started by gluing a magnet on the top of the container lid. A few candies inside, and the kids are ready to start fishing.

On the end of the string, you’ll also want to attach a magnet to catch the pumpkin containers.

Our girls had so much fun fishing for pumpkins. Try this fishing theme at your Halloween party, and you’ll have a game that everyone will want to play.toddler playing fishing game at homemade

There are still plenty of fishing opportunities during fall, so this Halloween, we want to encourage your family to also get outside. If you’re looking to explore new fishing holes with your family, be sure to check out Take Me Fishing’s™ list of Best Family-Friendly Places to Fish and Boat. But when weather doesn’t cooperate, you can always enjoy a fun fishing game indoors.

Check out Take Me Fishing™ to plan a fishing and boating adventure for your family, and be sure to share your fishing fun—be it indoors or outdoors—with me on social using #FirstCatch!

What are your favorite fishing games to play? Comment with your ideas below, then like Take Me Fishing™ on Facebook for your chance to win a $50 gift card plus a fishing prize package!
