Infant nursing

When my girls were babies there were so many things I was scared of.  Mostly it was just making sure tat they were safe and well taken care of. I didn’t expect to have problems breastfeeding, in fact I felt very unprepared to breastfeed. In fact I just kind of went with it. I didn’t read any books, I didn’t talk to anyone I just learned with my baby.

I struggled with breastfeeding

I always say my children have taught me so much and when it comes to breastfeeding that remains true. I know that with my last baby I struggled more with breastfeeding. I always thought if I let her lead the way we would work it out but I needed lactation support.

Amwell is a service we have actually used many times over the last few years. As my girls have gotten older I’ve seen it more useful to do some doctor visits online from the comfort of our home. They actually have lactation support that you can also receive right from your home.

I know that with breastfeeding it can seem so simple and yet then you have all these questions. New parents need a lot of support so it’s important to have access to resources that can actually help you. Sometimes all you need is someone to talk to and Amwell is there. Middle of the night, or on the go at every stage of breastfeeding you can find a lactation consultant that can help you.

One of the tools I use is the  Amwell App, more recently when my oldest had swimmers ear.Even when my youngest was a baby I just needed someone to talk to and those quick questions can be so helpful. So if you’re looking for a simple solution for seeing a lactation consultant consider seeing one through the phone with Amwell.
