Making Last Minute Handmade Gifts With Sharpie

You are here: Home / Keeping Busy / Kids Crafts Printables DIY Party Planning / Making Last Minute Handmade Gifts With Sharpie

Kids Crafts Printables DIY Party Planning

We are happy to partner with Sharpie on this post, all opinions are our own.

We are that last minute type of family. From running late on an ordinary day of school to planning parties last minute. That also means that sometimes we’re also creating last minute gifts for families and friends. One thing I have learned is that you don’t have to do a lot to make a special gift, especially when it comes to the kiddos.

In my family when it comes to Christmas we do it big, there are Christmas trees everywhere so when my girls said they wanted to make special ornaments for my Aunt I knew it was a gift she would appreciate year after year. One of our favorite tools for crafting is using Sharpie markers. Sharpie Extreme permanent markers have high-contrast ink that resists fading when exposed to harsh UV rays, rain, snow, and even mud. Which means they’re great for making great gifts that will actually withstand the hands of time.

We started first by picking some of our favorite blank ornaments from our local draft store. Simple glass bulbs and wood cut-out designs will work just fine. Allow your kids to get creative here and design their own embellishments.

Sometimes the best gifts to give loved ones who have everything are homemade things. Our girls are very creative so they dove head first into this task and really enjoyed making gifts this year.

With hundreds upon hundreds of ornaments in my Aunts collection I think every time she sees this one she will smile.

We found that no only do Sharpie Extreme permanent markers work extremely well but they’re color is so bright and vibrant. Even better is that these bold colors work on a number of surfaces even glass and wood!

We decided to make some very special ornaments and put them into a jar to give as a gift. It’s just another fun and unique way to give a handmade gift and our girls were thrilled to actually be making something that they knew someone else would enjoy. These really are the perfect last minute gifts, for Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents this holiday season!

You can find out more and find Sharpie Extreme in a store near you on their website.
