Preserving Family Memories with LegacyBox

Keeping Busy

We have partnered with Legacybox on this post.

legacy3Having 3 kids and our oldest being over a decade now, there are so many memories. From their first hours and days at the hospital and all their milestones, they’ve done a lot. As typical parents we love to keep memories anyway we can.

I can say for our kids and us being 21st century parents, we have a DSLR and iPhones for those moments. It’s great the technology available for families these days. Lucky for our kids they will have all their old pictures and videos on digital format for viewing easily. Plus it’s easy to store all the images and family movies, stored on hard-drives and DVD-Roms.

legacy1Legacybox is a service to preserve footage that is not digital. All those old pictures, film negatives, VHS cassettes, and more can now be captured and saved for viewing on simple to view DVDs. Legacybox is simple, they send a box for all your old tapes, film, photos and audio. Load the box and tag the items with the labels to know how many items you are sending and converting. The rest is taken care of and sent back with your original media all digitized in easy to use digital files and DVDs.

This is great for so many people who have old media and want it in a digital format for easy computer and home TV viewing. Most of us have old footage on VHS cassettes and tons of old film negatives. Saving it in a digital format not only lets it live on, but makes it easy to share and relive.
Legacybox makes it easy to transfer VHS to DVD and can digitize the below media formats:

  • Tapes: VHS, VHS-C, Hi*, Video 8, Digital 8, MiniDV, Betamax, MicroMV, & PAL
  • Film: 8mm, Regular8, Super8, 16mm
  • Photos: Photo prints up to 8.5×11, 35mm Slides, 35mm Negatives
  • Audio: Audio Cassettes, Compact Tapes, Audiotapes, Reel to Reel

So many old memories are stashed away on shelves in homes, or boxes in garages. Old film is sitting in dusty old bins and nothing is remembered. It’s fun to be able to look through old photos, even many old negatives that were not ever developed. Legacybox makes it easy and takes out any hassle. Just pack up your files, images and send them back. It’s fun to put our pictures next to our kids and compare how much we look alike. This is an easy way to have those old pictures digitized and easily sharable with family anywhere.grand canyon entranceSharing fun places the kids have been to is always fun to have for birthday parties or when family comes to visit.

dad with kids It was fun looking through old pictures and showing my kids how we saved images when I was younger. Even with old pictures from my mother and grandmother, I can show them about color and black and white photos.

I have bags and drawers full of pictures and they are sitting here just wearing away. Even storing old photos, eventually can fade. Legacybox makes it easy to turn those old photos, Polaroid, negatives, video, most media and turn it into a digital scrapbook. Legacybox makes it easy and takes out any hassle. Just tag the items, pack up your files and send them to Legacybox. Then, you’ll receive them back with your originals and digitized high quality copies.

I need this service! I was the recipient of all our family photos when my parents passed and many are so fragile and very old negatives!
