chorepal-app-making-bed-iphone-appHaving little ones it is important that we start to teach them responsibility and I want start them with responsibilities now so they grow up learning responsibility. When I was a kid I had many chores so as our girls get older I feel it’s really important for them to have those responsibilities. We’ve tried traditional chore charts in the past but we seem to forget after a while so I really wanted to try something that would work for our digital family. That’s why I knew we could use the ChorePal app. The app is an easy to use tool for families like ours to to manage and reward daily household chores.

chorepal-app-kids-listI started by downloading the COUNTRY Financial® ChorePal App and set up my parent account. I was also able to add my children and I downloaded the app onto their phones as well so they could engage with the app and mark off when their chores were done. I can also assign chores for each child, I set easier chores for our four year old than I do my older girls.

It’s also a good tool to each our girls about earning money and saving money. Starting to teach them these life lessons now will help them be more respnsible when it comes time to manage their own finances. chorepal-appOur girls are excited to get their chores done and for completing chores they earn points and badges. Last Saturday our girls were thrilled to get the weekend badge for doing chores on a weekend. I am easily able to assign chores and a point value system. Earn enough points and you can get a reward, our girls are working towards a movie!chorepal-app-bedroom-make-bed-iphone-app I also have other chores on their list that do not earn points like brushing their teeth. It’s just another fun way to remind our girls to do these things and it’s just another great way to establish those healthy habits. chorepal-app-brush-teeth-complete

Our kids really have responded well to the app. I have found they are more excited to get their chores done and we’re working towards our first family rewards!

Get started with your family by downloading the COUNTRY Financial®ChorePal app.

What are some ways you encourage your kids to get their chores done?

“It’s also a good tool to each our girls about earning money and saving money” – a great tool!!! But I’m having trouble with my son. it was too indulged in games on my phone. there is a period of time I had to ban phones with him.

What a great way to mesh technology with something kids don’t enjoy very much (chores!) I think this would make completing them easier for all of us. LOL
