Teaching my kids healthy habits including showing them great places to play and experienceis important for so many reasons. From eating healthy foods to staying active, us parents have a lot of responsibility other than just providing for our children. While the weather is hot this summer, we do enjoy the sunshine to get out and get active.
I think my favorite activities I like to do with my children is being active for any type of play. While we are not a super competitive family, playing games are important for physical exercise and to also teach good sportsmanship habits.
While I do my best to teach my kids on how to succeed at something they set their mind to, I am also responsible for teaching them to be a good sport no matter if they win or lose. Being active and busy is whats really important to me.
No matter what, most importantly is showing them how to play. From sitting around the home, going to the park, or taking a family trip, there is always time and room to find fun places to play. What I really like about playing with my kids is it makes it easy to drag them away from the devices and to enjoy the outdoors. It is simple really to find places to play, it just starts with getting up and getting active.
