They wake up our kiddo and she heads downstairs to give them food and take them out. Our guinea pig is so funny because every morning when he sees her he starts to squeal so she will give him carrots, and it works too!

Our girls were so excited to hear about the new movie The Secret Life of Pets, the story of what pets do when their human owners aren’t around. We even went to see the movie with our girls and it was an adorable movie that was fun for the whole family. It really brought to life the story of their pets and what they might do when we aren’t around. So our girls were so excited to see the new General Mills breakfast cereals with limited edition The Secret Life of Pets toy characters that you can collect inside every box. General Mills Secret Life Of Pets (2) In partnership with The Secret Life of Pets, specially marked boxes of General Mills Big G Cereals (Honey Nut Cheerios, Cheerios Multi Grain, Lucky Charms, Trix and Cocoa Puffs) will feature free collectables. You can collect Max the pampered terrier mix, Duke the massive mutt, Snowball the leader of the flushed pets, Buddy the sarcastic dachshund, Gidget the naïve, but gutsy Pomeranian and Chloe the fat cat. The exclusive The Secret Life of Pets character collectibles are available inside specially marked boxes of Big G cereals in stores now.  General Mills Secret Life Of Pets (3)To have a little fun before we went to see the movie our girls got to create our very own pet house and our girls had so much fun being creative. They really enjoy painting so this was a fun way to get excited about the movie. I can even see them creating their own pet houses with old cereal boxes. Secret Life of Pets art project dog house

They finished their pet house and had so much fun playing with all of their new Secret Life of Pets collectables. General Mills Secret Life Of Pets (1)

Be sure to check out this fun video featuring some adorable pets. Also be sure to check out the General Mills website for additional information and find participating Big G cereals in your local grocer.

The bunny (Kevin Hart) was by far my favorite character. I thought all the other animals were good too, but the bunny made me laugh the most.

I remember when my room was still downstairs and my dog was still alive. In the mornings my mom would tell him, “Go wake up Kayla,” and wouldn’t you know he’d run downstairs, burst through my double doors, jump on the bed, and give me kisses until I woke up. LOL You really do wonder what does go on in their lives when you’re not around.

Aw, I wish they had included Mel the pug! He’s as integral as the Doxy, and it’s my father in law’s name. I would have opened tons of boxes to find him.
