Stay-cation In Luxury At The Fairmont Newport Beach Resort Southern California

Everything Disney Family Travel With Kids

We were hosted for a stay at the Fairmont Newport Beach in Southern California. All experiences and images are our own.

We stayed this summer at the Fairmont Newport Beach resort. This nice resort offers quality rooms, a nice rooftop Palms Pool and Cabanas, tennis, BMW bikes, basketball and bocce ball. We enjoyed the pool, but even more enjoyed the location.

Newport Beach is located in in Orange County and reaches from the beach to John Wayne Airport. It is south of Los Angeles and less than 20 miles from Disneyland Park and Knott’s Berry Farm. While some may prefer to be closer to the amusement parks and attractions, we are big fans of the beach life and nature things to do.

The Fairmont Newport Beach is a luxury hotel with rooms that average 325 square feet as well as a variety of suites that include a One Bedroom, Executive, Junior Suite to Vice Presidential and Presidential accommodations with most having balconies and soaking tubs. Our room had a nice view and balcony that was great for relaxing and enjoying breakfast to the beautiful Southern California skyline.

We stayed in a One Bedroom room, that was perfect for out small family. Mom and Dad got our own room and beautifully designed bathroom, and the kids had the living room with pull out sofa, TV and guest restroom.

During the day the room was great for entertaining and playing, and at night gave the space to sleep.

Our room was very spacious and allowed us to enjoy our stay-cation of getting away from home but not having to travel more than 100 miles. We had out own area to relax and read, or just rest and watch TV. I personally enjoyed just having the windows open and enjoying the view.

What made us not want to leave was our master suite bathroom. It was made of granite, a huge soaking tub, giant walk-in shower, and the touches and finishes to give it the luxury feel, which is what we really need on our vacation. While our home is nice, its even nicer to stay in luxury without cleanup.

I wish this was my bathroom. I have a nice large tub, but not this length and my walk in shower is, well, boring. Not this one.

Of course we had access to plush robes, toiletries and hygiene needs, and everything needed to have a nice stay.

We did make our way to Disneyland for one night and for us with a car, its a simple trip. There are activities and services for rental cars and house car service based upon availability. If you want to stay in the area and enjoy the coastal weather, the Fairmont Newport Beach has BMW bikes for use.

After getting back to our room from a fun packed day at Disneyland we had Mickey Mouse inspired cookies and milk waiting for the kids upon arrival. It was such a fun way to end an already awesome day and the kids loved it! Perfect ending for us all.

We had a chance to order room service and decided on doing breakfast, in room. We all found items we like, dad his Eggs Benedict, mom had her Chilaquiles and the kids loved their french toast, eggs, hash brown, and sausage. Other dining choices include the Citrus restaurant and AVO Bar + Restaurant.

What topped the excellent in-room breakfast was enjoying it on the balcony. Breakfast with a view of Orange County.

Visiting SoCal or just getting away from your city and live in the region, checkout the Fairmont. We did a lot, visited Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach, spent a day at Disneyland, and enjoyed the sun in the Palms Pool. Was a great way to get away, without having to go far!
