It’s time to head back to school so we’re having a lot of fun and getting very excited about the first day. Why not treat your kiddos with some fun treats to get them excited about head back to school? That’s exactly what these adorable Back to School ABC Oreos are, fun for kids with a back to school twist. I’m a big fan of keeping things simple so you won’t have to spend loads of time making these sweet treats.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
- Candy/Cookie mold (Amazon link below)
- 12 regular size Oreos
- 2 Tablespoons solid shortening
- 1 cup white chocolate melts
- Blue icing gel in a tube
- Red icing gel in a tube
- Black icing gel in a tube
To start in a double boiler, melt the shortening. Add the white candy melts and stir occasionally until melted. Once completely melted, transfer to a microwave safe bowl. Add 2 Tablespoons of the melted white chocolate into each mold.
Lay an Oreo cookie in each mold, on top of the melted chocolate. Spoon additional melted chocolate on top of each Oreo, filling to the top of each mold. Chill for at least 2 hours.
Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Then pop Oreos out of their mold and lay on baking sheet. With the red tube of icing gel, pipe a line down the left side of each Oreo. Let “set” for 10 minutes to harden a bit.
Then you will want to pipe 4-5 blue lines across each Oreo to resemble lines on notebook paper. Let the Oreos “set” for 10 minutes. 
With the black icing gel, add letters of the alphabet on top of each Oreo – A, B, C, etc.
These are so fun and a great way to get our kids excited about heading back to school!
