As we get closer to Christmas we are starting to prepare all of our gifts. This week our girls wanted to focus on gifts for their teachers so we used our favorite Seventh Generation hand wash to create a simple homemade gift idea. I am an active mom of three, I like to think that our family does a lot of healthy activities. We also use and partner with brands that align to our needs and ideals as parents. We are happy to partner with Seventh Generation® as a brand ambassador. As always all opinions are our own.
Seventh Generation formulates products with a plant version of synthetic ingredients, taking the time to ensure that not only do they work, but that they are kinder to our families and the planet. Their hand wash is one of the products we use most in our house an essential with cold and flu season upon us.
We really wanted to say thank you for all of the wonderful things our girls’ teachers do for them all year long. What better way to say thank you than with a little pampering and I wanted to create something handmade that is easy enough for my kids to do. That’s why a handmade salt scrub is such a great gift. Things You Need –
- Seventh Generation hand wash
- 3 cups Epsom salt
- 5 drops lavender oil
- 1/2 cup dried lavender
- small mason jars
- marker
- simple gift bow
I am a huge fan of simple things and this is one gift our girls really enjoyed making. Just add half a bottle of hand wash to the Epsom Salt. To personalize each salt scrub container we wanted to write who it was to and who it was from. So among the many gifts on her teachers table Brooklin’s teacher would know her gift was from her.
Then to finish the scrub you’ll want to add in the dried lavender. Then combine the mixture to spread the lavender throughout.
Brooklin wanted to top her scrub with a fresh piece of lavender. I think it’s the perfect touch to this handmade gift.
To finish we topped it with a simple gift bow. It’s such a fun and thoughtful gift and our girls can’t wait to give these to their teachers!
You can find these and other Seventh Generation hand wash at your local retailers or online. Be sure to stay social with @SeventhGen on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.
That’s and easy and wonderful gift for someone or even for yourself.
The only DIY gifts I have made have been cookies and candy. This lavender scrub is a wonderful gift, definitely going to give this try and gift some to my mom. 🙂
This would make good stocking stuffers too
This is a nice idea for the kids with a little help. They love making their own gifts.
What a perfect gift!
I really love what you made here and I bet this lavender hand scrub is amazing and makes hands smell so good. I like to make Holiday treats and take them to my sister’s Christmas party on Christmas Eve.
What a great gift for loved ones! I’d love to try and make my own, too!
I have never made a hand scrub before but this would be fun to make for gift giving.
