I know each and every day I try to feel my best. Especially in the last year I am making more of an effort to do things that help me feel my very best. I know that as a busy mom that if I am happy I am a better wife, mom and friend. One of the things that makes me happy is staying active and fit, also watching what I put into my body is equally as important as taking care of it. I know that each day there are some simple things I can do to stay feeling my very best and keeping that smile on my face.

  1. Get Active – Being active each and every day is one of the best ways to stay happy and feel energized. I believe it’s not just for my overall health but good for the soul, plus what mom doesn’t want to enjoy an hour alone?
  2. Hydrate – Water is essential to life and happiness, stay hydrated not just during the hot summer months but as we head into cooler weather it’s still equally as important.
  3. Music – One of the best ways to stay happy is with music, whether you’re working out or just cleaning up boost your mood with your favorite tunes.
  4. Get A Hobby – Find something you really enjoy doing, I enjoy writing and photography. I often get to enjoy taking photos of my girls and exploring new places together is only better when you have pictures to remember it.
  5. Snack Well – Heavy snacks can weigh you down and make you feel sluggish, one of my favorite mid-day snacks is a stick of gum. It’s also a delightful treat without the guilt! Sugar free gum is also a great treat to keep kiddos happy too and it will keep their smiles bright and healthy.

    I miss being super active. I have horrible back problems and it goes into my hips now. It makes walking difficult. 🙁

    My Daughter had braces on for four years and Trident was the only gum that she could chew. It never got stuck in them. These are great tips. It is so important to take care of yourself.

    Music definitely makes me feel good. That’s why I always listen to music while doing my online tasks or doing household chores. It makes things less stressful.

    These are wonderful tips. I like the idea of snacking with a gum. Heavy snacks make you feel sluggish and sleepy.

    Awesome tips. I know that hydration is at the top of the list, since our bodies are like 75% water. I love that Trident donates part of their sales to Smiles Across America. It is wonderful to learn of companies who give back to the community.

    Those a great tips! I always have trouble with Hydration! I never seem to remember to drink enough water on a daily basis!! To keep my smile bright, I brush twice daily, floss, rinse with mouthwash!

    I keep gum around all the time to help me curb my cravings for sweets. Staying hydrated is another HUGE tip! I didn’t realize how I feel fuller when I’m drinking plenty of water through the day.

    Water has really made a difference for me! I feel less sluggish and bloated when I drink tons of water. My skin looks and feels better and I just feel all around better!
