Family Travel With Kids

palm desert trip Living in Southern California we are always looking for places to get away. This last weekend we drove out to the desert and did some hiking along the way. The girls had a great time exploring. brooklin hiking

Kai took some time to take photos, the view of the valley was so beautiful. You also move from pine trees to desert if you drive in from San Diego. kaila view hiking

Since we like to just take quick trips it’s nice to have a place to stay that is clean and has amenities for families like ours. We decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort.  Located in central Palm Desert, this simple Spanish Mission-style hotel is 2.3 miles from the McCallum Theatre and 2.4 miles from the Palm Springs Art Museum. We got a room on the bottom floor by the pool. It also faced the courtyard area and our girls had a great time running around and exploring. We also spent plenty of time at the pool. mia pool

Having a pool right by our room really allowed us to enjoy it. Being 118 degrees outside it was a fun getaway that we all enjoyed. brooklin pool

In the morning we had breakfast. Pancakes, eggs and everything else you family would need to fuel up for a day of fun. Juicy Juice Apple Kids Pool Snack Idea (2)

Then we hit the pool again before heading home. pool

It’s always fun to get away on the weekends. We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus Palm Desert Resort and would totally stay there again!
