We were thrilled this summer when we went to our first baseball game. Growing up we spent a lot of time at the diamond, my uncle and cousins all played and it was a big family affair. In fact, my great great uncle played major league ball for the Twins. You could easily say somewhere baseball has been a part of my life and even as a mom now to three girls I still enjoy the game! Except now I get to watch our daughter dance before the game with her competition dance team.
One thing I have learned when it comes to parenting or girls is to teach them to be good citizens of the world we have to be good role models. That’s why being part of a team is important and teaching them to be good sports when things don’t always go their way. Most of all it’s about teaching our children to fail but to fail gracefully and to use that dream as a way to push forward to our dreams. I think any team sport allows children to do this and that’s why we can easily relate to this video.
It all starts with the start of each and every day, a good breakfast and a dream to do big things!
