This post is sponsored by Macy’s Culinary Council; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Cooking has become something that our house has embraced for many reasons. First we get to control the ingredients going into our food. Second we also save a lot of money by not going out to eat as a family of 5. But more importantly we are showing our kids that food can be created from our hands, and not handed to us from other hands.
One thing that goes with cooking is having the right tools to get the task done. You will be surprised how much having the right kitchen utensil or gadget will allow you to make something that looks great, but how much it saves time. To be honest I think more people would cook, but cooking really does require focus and a lot of quality time.
On June 20th, 2015 the Macy’s South Coast Plaza Home Store will be hosting a special event at 2:00pm to introduce the Nancy Silverton. This team of culinary professionals includes great chefs who will be bring their skills and tips to local Macy’s around the country along with many great samplings to share throughout the year.
Come meet Chef Nancy Silverton of Macy’s Culinary Council this Saturday June 20th at Macy’s South Coast Plaza Home Store in Costa Mesa, CA and let the master chef herself show you how to prepare some of her amazing award winning dishes ! And again one of the best parts of this event is plenty of delicious samples to eat and enjoy!
Nancy Silverton was named one of Food and Wine Magazine‘s “Best New Chefs” in 1990 as well as named “Pastry Chef of the Year” and “Who’s Who of Cooking” by the James Beard Foundation.
Nancy Silverton has an amazing capacity for embracing the beauty of wonderful food, and will undoubtedly continue to do so for the rest of her ingredient inspired life. Each loaf, every pizza and single inspiring mozzarella dish is an entire world of its own waiting to be discovered.
Also if you make a purchase of $35 or more (valid only for 6/20/15) at Macy’s South Coast Plaza Home Store only, you will also get a $10 Macy’s gift card (valid 6/20/15 only) as well as a copy of Chef Silverton’s cookbook, The Mozza Cookbook, that she will sign after her demonstration.

We will be there to pick up some new tips and expand out cooking horizon. These are great family dishes I know my kids will love to eat.

I remember being a kid and always being excited to see the free samples at the grocery store, and going back numerous times if it was something good.
