I am a compensated Vicks Brand Ambassador. All opinions are our own.

feeling sickThere is nothing worse than when you feel at your worst! It’s cold and flu season and this week I was hit hard with the worst cold and flu symptoms. That’s why when I feel my worst I reach for Vicks DayQuil and for at night VicksNyQuil Severe.

Something that has something for all my symptoms is what I needed to feel better from my body aching to sinus congestion and cough Vicks helps me feel better faster!

vicksDayQuil Severe: Contains a non drowsy pain reliever/fever reducer, nasal decongestant, cough suppressant and expectorant, all to temporarily relieve aches, fever, sore throat, nasal/sinus congestion and pressure, cough and chest congestion.

NyQuil Severe: Contains a pain reliever/fever reducer, nasal decongestant, cough suppressant and antihistamine all to temporarily relieve aches, fever, sore throat, nasal/sinus congestion and pressure, sneezing, running nose and cough.

vicks productsBoth formulas come in a capsule or you can also find a liquid. I like keeping both on hand because I never know what I might use especially if swallowing is painful from a sore throat.

COLD & FLU Tips

  • Know the signs. You are most contagious in the first 24 hours when your symptoms are at their worst. If you have two or more of these symptoms, stay home to rest: fever over 101o F, cough, sore throat, running nose, headache, body aches, chills, or fatigue.
  • Take a hot shower before bed. Steam and humidity can cause sinuses to drain and relieve stuffiness from a cold. It can also help you to relax, and ease chills, aches and fatigue. Put your towel and/or bathrobe in the dryer so that you don’t feel chilled when you get out, and make sure the room is nice and warm.
  • Try tea. Drinking an herbal tea such as chamomile, passionflower or other soothing teas before bed can help you relax while also getting helpful fluids into your system.
  • Take a multi-symptom medication. My patients want fast, effective relief to help them get back to their busy lives. Look for a medication that can treat the toughest symptoms while also helping you rest. DayQuil Severe and NyQuil Severe fight your worst cold & flu symptoms so you can power through symptoms during the day, and get the rest you need at night to get back to being you.

vicks feel betterVicks DayQuil and NyQuil Severe are available at retail stores nationwide in the cold and flu treatment aisle. More information can be found at www.Vicks.com or www.Facebook.com/ NyQuil.DayQuil.

Please slide some my way, I didn’t get a flu shot this year and of course I got the darn flu. My last temp check was 104 and I feel like I am swimming in mud! UGH! #LeSigh

My husband is a lover of all things ‘quil’ He uses the day and night. I only use OTC meds if I absolutely have to. But, I have used these and I know they work!

I actually make sure that I catch up on rest when I’m feeling down. So much of my life is go-go-go that when I get sick, I try to rest up as much as I can. The Dayquil and Nyquil doesn’t hurt either.

We have Nyquil in our house. I hate when you don’t feel well and you can’t sleep. That’s the worst! Then you are sick and tired!

A hot shower does work great when you’re sick. I like Dayquil, I didn’t know there was a severe version.

I hope this helps you. I tried Dayquil one time in my life. I just didn’t grow up having stuff like this around so got creative in other ways. I know many who swear by this, and it does help them. Glad you have it to help your family!
