If You Give A Mouse An iPhone – A Parent’s Cautionary Tale Narrated by Fred Armisen

This is a partnered post.

Being a 21st century parent, I guess I am not too surprised all 3 of my kids know how to use a smartphone for some purpose or purposes. Our 9 year old recently got our old iPhone 5, so it seems like sometimes she is buried into it sharing things with her friends. Our 2 ½ year old even knows how to wake it up, find her favorite apps, start them up, and play around and be busy. Then there is the middle child who used to throw the biggest fits to have the phone.

give a mouse an iphone

Now I am sure many people understand what I mean or can even relate to kids and iPhones or smartphones in general. I will say, my kids have always preferred our iPhones, probably for the ease to use. The tale by “Ann Droyd” called Goodnight iPad is a funny tale of the fun that can happen if you give a kid, ahem I mean mouse, an iPad.

To follow up Goodight iPad, “Ann Droyd” is back with the book If You Give A Mouse An iPhone. Making this cautionary tail even easier to take in, they’ve animated more or less the entire new book, and narrated it entirely by Fred Armisen. Watch this video and read the book to help your kids as to why they may want to not pick up that iPhone so quickly! Gives us parents a good reason as to why we may want to avoid giving our kids, and mice, iPhones!
