It’s that time of year when we become busy making memories together as a family. With the holidays near, we are starting to get ready for Christmas and as a big family we enjoy decorating and making things together. What’s more fun than all of us, including Dad, getting together to paint things?

Christmas is a wonderful time to spend time together and make memories and creating crafts with our children is a fun and easy way to spend more time together. Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers make crafting with kids especially easy. Every Christmas my children make ornaments; it’s just a fun tradition and fills our tree with hand made memories. Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers make it easy to create the perfect homemade ornaments.

1
To get started with our project, we bought some plain glass ornaments from the craft store filling each ornament with glitter and mini Christmas items that I also found at the craft store. We tried to find things that applied to them like baking goods and Christmas lights, basically anything small, cute, and fun.

I really like how easy Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers are to use. The paint goes on smooth and you don’t have to worry about it smudging or running. We had no problems with any streaking and the paint stayed on directly where it was applied and the markers didn’t slip at all, making it easy to write or draw a picture, even on glass.

Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers are easy for kids to grip and since they come in a pen there’s also minimal mess to clean up! We had no problem with the paint wear and smudging off and it dried in seconds making there virtually no paint mess like with many painting accessories.elmers painters

We had a lot of fun making this year’s ornaments and each of our girls got to personalize their own ornament. It’s a fun and creative way to spend time together and get in the holiday spirit. We all did our own ornaments and we all added something we felt was worth remembering. Being that we used paint, these will last forever and these are great keepsakes from our kids for 2014.

In the end you have creative ornaments that are truly unique and we make this a Christmas tradition so it’s fun to do year after year! These are also great for gifts and crafting ideas for groups and family to do during the holidays. Be sure to share your craft creations socially with hashtags: #DIYwithPainters and #PaintersMarkers.
