Finally Disney Infinity 2.0 Download is available for us Disney Infinity 1.0 owners. I remember finding out about the 2.0 and wondering if our older system would work and the answer is no. The Disney Infinity 2.0 is an entirely new game so it requires completely new software.
But starting November 4, we finally have the option download a digital copy of the Toy Box 2.0 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Wii U systems. We have Disney Infinity 1.0 for our Nintendo Wii U so not we can keep our existing Disney Infinity base, along with all figures and Power Discs while getting to use them all in the new Toy Box.
The download will be available on PlayStation Network, Xbox Store and the Nintendo eShop with a suggested retail price of $29.99. For a limited time, the download will be offered on PlayStation Network and the Nintendo eShop for an introductory suggested retail price of $19.99.
A special offer is also available for us North American players. Right now when we purchase a digital download of Toy Box 2.0 will get both Disney Toy Box Game Discs (Stitch’s Tropical Rescue and Brave Forest Siege) for no extra costs. This is a limited time offer, while supplies last.

I was wondering what we would have to do, or if my kid would be able to play the newer 2.0 edition with our old system, and the answer now is YES!
If we hadn’t bought our Infinity 1.0 in the last 6 months, we would buy the 2.0 for this holiday season. But now I can feel relieved knowing that I can just get the digital download so they can keep playing with the new figures and toys!
