Silk Almond Milk Dark Chocolate (2)It’s October which means it’s time for the pumpkins to come out and for our family to have a little more fun with ordinary things like school lunches. There’s nothing better than enjoying a sweet and even spooky treat around this time of year and I really enjoy being creative.

There are some real benefits to incorporating products like Silk®. A plant based diet rich in fruits and vegetables, nuts and whole grains is so important. It may reduce cholesterol and risks for diabetes. It’s also tasty and one of my kids favorite drinks! Plus I can use it in all kinds of things like mac and cheese, pudding, cereal and other delicious snacks and foods our family enjoys most.

Creating healthy and fun lunches has been a goal of mine for my children this school year. Making lunch fun and healthy is something I enjoy doing and I also love to hear how great my kids think it is too when they come home from school. Silk is one of those products that’s great for replacing dairy. Adding chocolate to the pudding makes for a delicious treat and I can feel great about the added benefits of Silk. Add crushed chocolate cookies and some bones on top for a bone graveyard!

This time of year I can find all sorts of colors and varieties of foods. The yellow watermelon is a personal favorite of our kids and it’s bright color makes it perfect for the lunchbox. With a simple knife you can easily cut pumpkin faces into mandarins and cheese.

I can use Silk Almond Milk +Protein in our favorite Halloween mac and cheese and it really makes for a fun and festive lunch idea. Silk Almond Milk Dark Chocolate (4)
