As a mom of three girls I want to inspire them to do great things. Whether it’s in the things they enjoy doing or in simple ways in their every day life like during play time. I often talk about inspiring my children to live a healthy life through food but it’s also important that my girls learn about innovation and science. That’s why we teamed up with GoldieBlox and The Motherhood for this compensated post.
Building toys isn’t just for boys, as a mom I want to inspire my girls to dream big and do anything they set their minds to. GoldieBlox is not your ordinary toy for girls, it’s an extraordinary tool to inspire your daughters to like science and technology. By tapping into girls’ strong verbal skills, their unique books and stories and the construction set bolsters confidence in spatial skills while giving young inventors the tools they need to build and create amazing things.
We can easily say our daughter was excited and ready to get playing!
She got started right away by reading the story and the instructions. Each set from GoldieBlox comes with everything your child needs to have fun but also makes it easy to put the pieces away after use.
In the story GoldieBlox and the Dunk Tank, Goldie has to find a way to get Nacho clean. The only problem is: Nacho hates water and loves being a dirty dog. After many tries to get Nacho clean, Goldie finally comes up with the perfect contraption. As kids read along, they help Goldie build a dunk tank (and learn about hinges and levers) to get Nacho clean so everyone can go to the carnival on time. Right away Brooklin started with the easy to follow directions.
It was great to see her using new skills and as a parent I could see her problem solving time and time again to get it right.
This set really does build spatial skills, with engineering principles like hinges and levers which help your child gain confidence in problem-solving.
There are 3 design ideas that come with this set but there is also unlimited building possibilities because you can create your own inventions too! Brooklin had a great time problem solving and as a parent it was good finally to see her finally playing with a toy that I know she will play with time and time again!
In the end she was so proud of the wonderful job she had done and she had endless entertainment dunking Nacho and giving him a bath!
Now that our daughters are getting older it’s more and more important to us that we raise them with the skills they need for success in life. There’s nothing that is more fun than educating your child through play and by creating together you’re making even more memories too. You can find GoldieBlox inside retailers near you or at GoldieBlox.com.
