dayschool mia

Mia started dayschool today! She goes to a small school that has the cutest classroom, plenty of space outside to play and lots of chances to learn throughout the day. Mia jumped right in to class this morning and napped with her classmates on her new nap mat.

Inside I somewhat wanted her to miss me as much as I missed her. I straitened up her room like I do every morning and made her bed. I sighed each time I passed her door and she wasn’t inside. Then I hurried about doing all the things. The things that are so hard and I often struggle to do while she is here too and being oh so busy.

I just want to give her more of me, a better me. More than I can give her every day and so I want to spend the time while she is at school doing all those things that keep me busy. So when she comes home I can give her more of me. I need to set that time away for her and for me.

So she had a good day at school. She met new friends and started a new adventure.

Her first official day of dayschool.

Oh! She started ballet too. Jumped right in, head first. She does not lack confidence and I love seeing her want to learn new things! plus hello, two year olds in tutus!

Such a bittersweet time, you want them to get social interaction with kids their age as well as get into a school routine, but you miss them SO much! My grandson, who had been a Nano’s boy (not a typo, he has always called me Nano for some unknown reason) recently started preschool and I feel lost some days! I always try to remember.that you can give your children 2 things 1 is roots, the other is wings. We have to let them fly..sniff, sniff.
