Being a parent it is important we get our children those annual check-ups and see the Doctor as needed. Its more than just their health and teeth, it’s also important t to have their eyes checked. Eye exams are very important for everyone from, infants to adults and all ages should have their vision checked for corrective measures so its important to get your eyes checked.

Annual eye exams are important because they all the detecting of the eye’s condition and early signs of health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

With school started and starting it’s important to get kids in for an annual comprehensive eye exam to address and problems that may hinder their education and life goals. Vision is super important in helping us do everything from learning who people are to reading and everything else in life. With many experts feeling that we learn 80 percent of everything we do through our eyes, proper vision is super important for many reasons.

With 1 in 4 children having an undetected vision condition, it is hard for children to know if they have a problem if they never experienced what good vision really is. A proper vision exam helps determine this. Kids who go through life with undetected vision conditions may become frustrated students, leading to poor grades and behavioral issues from not understanding why they can’t get it easily. And it all may come down to simply not being able to read easily due to poor vision, not anything developmentally. A simple exam and the proper remedy can fix this very easily. Learn more about the benefits and problems with avoiding and delaying eye exams at SeeMuchMore.com, a one-stop site for a lot of information about enrolling in vision benefits.

Make sure to have pay attention to eye coordination and lazy eye during the exam, these are easily missed sometimes through school exams and the like. Treating these conditions is easy if treated early!

Check out this PDF on in-school eye vision screenings versus comprehensive eye exams.

The kids are headed back to school and many parents don’t know about the importance of getting checkups. Before the school year started our girls got health checkups and it’s equally just as important to get your vision checked. Learn more about your eyes and eye care with VSP.
