summer Finish dishwashingWe have made so many wonderful memories this summer and it all started early on when our girls celebrated their birthdays. Each of our girls have birthdays within weeks of each other so we always start our summers with celebrating!

We hit the beach plenty of times and packed up meals for some of those trips. There is nothing better than spending time with your friends and family and summers offer us plenty of time to make more memories together. With all those summer moments there were also plenty of messy moments.

From ice cream on a hot summer day, to smoothie making on a hot summer afternoon we have our fair share of messy and tasty moments. One of my favorite things about summer is eating meals outside and enjoying those messy moments together. It’s meals that bond and bring together families and that’s why I am so passionate about making those mealtimes special.

  11. Family Movie Night is one of our favorites! Santa brought us a giant popcorn machine a couple of years ago and it’s so much fun to pop up a bunch and pile on the couch! With a family of 8, it also saves big! 🙂 Thanks for the chance!

  14. We go to Redbox and pick up a couple of horror movie and order pizza.

  15. We pick a fun movie, turn off all the lights, and pop some popcorn. Or, we go get a pizza and eat that instead of popcorn.

  18. We unfortunately do not have many movie nights with all of us because my sons and husband like to watch movies that are too much for my smaller daughter. I end of watching alot of princess movies with her in another room while they watch action movies together.

  21. We pull out the air mattress and put on our pjs. It’s the one time my kids can eat in the living room (popcorn)

  27. We have movie night on Fridays. We usually let the kids pick their favorite meal which is usually pizza or tacos, play a board game while eating, fix popcorn and coke floats and curl up together to watch a new or favorite movie together.

  29. My kids go to bed at 8 so we don’t have so many movie nights as lazy movie Sundays in our jammies.

  30. We have themed family movie nights, sometimes horror, mystery etc.

  37. When my daughter was young we would make homemade pizza or take out food, then watch a movie. We would take turns picking out the movie.

  38. Years ago, I remember going out on Friday nights to a video store to rent and movie and pick up some popcorn. Now, we just select something on Netflix.

  67. We love to have a double feature with a particular theme (80s, horror, animated) and pick two very different movies to enjoy. Sometimes we each get to pick one movie that goes into a hat, and we draw two at random. We usually have a coffee table full of snacks and drinks to enjoy as well.

  68. we always have a hard time choosing a movie that everyone wants to see, but in the end we usually all end up enjoying whatever we watch.

  72. Oh we love to have family movie night….order pizza…and then we all curl up with our blankets and some snacks and watch a movie!

  73. On of family movie night we usually will watch a movie that we haven’t seen. We usually will rent the movie from the library. We tend to get action movies and put our surround sound on while we are watching. It’s pretty fun.
