Did you know that August 10th is National S’mores Day? There’s no greater way to celebrate summer than with that gooey campfire dessert and this year we’re kicking it up a notch with a fun new recipe from Santé Nuts.
The great thing about nuts is that they’re filling and flavorful and can easily great depth and flavor to any dessert. My personal choices from Santé Nuts were the candied pecans, cardamom cashews and candied pistachios. Each delicious in it’s own right and a flavorful snack or addition to any meal.
A little more about their nuts: They hand roast the nuts, using a secret roasting method that allows for minimal absorption of oil into the nut, resulting in a healthier product with a just-right balance of sweet and spice, and a crispy crunch. All of the nuts are, gluten-free, peanut-free, vegan, non-GMO and addictively delicious. They have 9 different flavors, ranging from the spicy chipotle almonds, to sweet candied pistachios to mild, buttery cardamom cashews.
Santé Nuts S’mores Cones
Ingredients:
- Santé Nuts varieties
- marshmallows
- chocolate
- coconut flakes
- waffle ice cream cones
The best thing about this recipe is the waffle cones. Not only does it make the perfect cup for your ingredients but it’s also really easy to handle around the fire and is a fun new twist on the s’mores you grew up with.
It’s so easy to make your S’mores Cones just wrap in aluminum foil and place by the fire to heat. Living here in California where it’s very dry we opted for our fire pit outside which also made for a fun family dessert night.
After a few minutes your S’mores Cones are ready to be eaten but the best part is sitting around the fire together!
Brooklin and Daddy created a waffle bowl and decided to eat it like a pie. Another fun twist on our family favorite!
Santé Nuts really spiced up our s’mores. If you’re looking to spice up your snacks be sure to check out their website to shop online. You can also find a location near you with them in stock and stay connected socially with @SanteNuts on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.
