Kaila,

It’s hard to believe that today you are nine years old! It feels like just yesterday your dad and I were rushing off to the hospital awaiting your arrival. We were both so scared, our first baby oh how our world changed! When you arrived we sta and stared t you with tears in our eyes, how could something so beautiful be our creation?

For nine years you have taught me how to be a mother, a gift I can never express to you how much it means to me. You’ve forgiven me more times than I can count and reassured me that even on my worst of days you and I both will be okay.

You’re smart beyond your years and your soul is kind. You care about others so deeply and you’re such a great big sister. Your sisters love you more than you will ever know and I hope even on their worst days you continue to be patent and kind for they just want to be your bestest of friends. I hope that you and your sisters will always remain close and have that guarded respect for one another as you grow older.

Today you are nine, you love duct tape and creating crafts. You’ve always been our creative little bug and it doesn’t surprise me how you enjoy creating things to make other people joyful. You love bright colors and patterns and that’s okay because it matches your personality perfectly.

I want you to know you’re the light of our world and today and each and every day we love you so very much.

Happy Birthday Kaila!!

Go change the world!

Be kind always,

Mommy

It’s amazing how fast they grow, I love the pic of her in the yellow dress with that tree and flowers in the background, great angle!
