Fun Foods for Families

roasted pepper salsa for tacos recipe
One thing my family will all agree on is that we enjoy Mexican food. Growing up in California it was a part of our family meals so I find myself turning to my favorite flavors when creating meals for our family. Tacos are such a simple dinner idea and with a few simple steps you can have tasty flavor all wrapped in a tortilla.

One thing I like to do is create my own salsa, there’s nothing like garden fresh tomatoes and cilantro on a hot summer day!

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 glove chopped garlic
  • 2 slices jalapenos
  • 1 lime
  • 2 roasted white peppers

I am a huge fan of super simple recipes and this recipe is all about flavor. You’ll want to prep your ingredients by chopping everything. I roasted my peppers on my stove since I have a gas stove but you could easily do this on your grill.

Simply chop and mix everything together. You’ll want to add salt and pepper to taste and allow your salsa to sit in your refrigerator for an hour before serving.

I can taste that salsa now 🙂 I like that your salsa is not to wet or has a lot of liquid; i like it drier.
