We had family come and visit last month so what better time to spend the day with our oldest kiddo at a theme park? We headed to Universal Studios just days after the new Despicable Me Minion Mayhem Ride opened. Our first attraction of the day was the new ride! You’ll get to experience Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and join Gru, his daughters and the mischievous Minions on a heartwarming and hilarious 3-D ride.
Start your adventure in Gru’s home, where you’re recruited for his latest scheme – one where you’ll become an actual Minion. You’ll want to grab those 3-D glasses before entering!
We just loved all the details inside of Gru’s home and there’s even an adorable scribble on the walls. Head on into the lab for Minion Training.
After making it through “Minion training” things don’t go as planned! Within moments, you’re launched into an unforgettable trip through his super-villain laboratory. I won’t give away everything but it’s loads of fun and you’ll even enjoy some belly laughs with the minions!
The laughs keep coming after the ride with an interactive, Minion-inspired dance party before you exit the ride.
Then, visit a re-creation of the first film’s memorable seaside carnival, Super Silly Fun Land, an all-new, over-the-top outdoor family play zone.
You can see the fun continues at night as the lights turn on for some more fun! We will have more coming next week about the new Super Silly Fun Land and all the fun your family can have this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood!
If you’re heading to the park this summer may I suggest the premium parking? You get to park right next to the entrance to the park and is always worth the extra splurge for our family!
