The fifth annual National Day of Unplugging (NDU) coming up on Friday, March 7.
To participate, unplug from all your gadgets from sundown on March 7 to sundown on March 8 and fill out this sign to share online about why you want to unplug.
Everywhere you look people are glued to their phones and tablets. Children and loved ones constantly hear, “Just a minute” or a distracted “Uh-huh” as heads are buried into connected devices. The NDU creates an opportunity to unplug from your gadgets and spend real face time with the important people in your life. I know this year I am trying to do more of this and spend that better quality time with my family and friends.
Reboot is offering a toolkit to give families ideas for unplugging and sample activities for facilitating tech free time.
3 tips to unplug as a family include:
- Take a nature walk
- Have a family yoga or dance party
- Cook a favorite family recipe together
Dont feel bad for making the family unplug.
