It’s time for the big game which also means there will be plenty of great food around. I like coming up with new and exciting flavors and that’s why our family was happy to see a new SunChips® Sweet & Spicy BBQ chip in our stores. We’re a busy family who often takes snacks with us on the go so SunChips® offer plenty of flavor and I can feel great about them being multigrain too!
This game day try something new and exciting with bite sized food. Not only can you serve the great tasting SunChips® Sweet & Spicy BBQ but you can also incorporate it into food. Bread chicken strips, or make these bite sized wantons.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup SunChips® Sweet & Spicy BBQ chips
- 1/2 cup white rice
- 1/2 cup chopped chicken
- 1 shallot
- 1/3 cup cheddar cheese
- 3 TBSP BBQ sauce
- 1 egg
- wanton wrappers
- oil (for frying)
Instructions:
To start I bagen with putting the chips in my food processor. I also wanted the chicken to be small so after boiling a chicken breast I just chopped it up.
Simply combine your ingredients so you have your wanton filling. If you can’t find wanton wrappers you can always use an egg roll wrapper.
Place your filling in the center of your wrapper. Around the edges brush with egg whites and pull together.
You’ll want to fry them 2-4 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown.
I served these with a spicy pub cheese sauce. I used a pub cheese spread and my favorite salsa. It has deep cheddar flavor and makes the perfect dipping sauce!
So what are you waiting for? Spice it up with exciting new flavors, and surprise everyone on game day with a new and exciting recipe!
You can find these and other SunChips® products for game day in your local grocer or find them here.
