Family Update: We’re Moving To California!

Our Family Journal

moving

We’ve been packing for weeks and getting ready to move from our cold house in Oregon to our new warm house in California. Over the next week we will be working on getting up some new and exciting giveaways and we have some fun things planned to share after we settle into our new home.

While moving our family of five is going to be no easy task I am thankful that my husband and I are working hard to get everything done. I am very lucky that I have a husband who is so supportive of what I have going on so around the site here so you won’t notice much of a change.

Now to the new house…..

caMoving from Oregon where it’s 50 degrees and pouring rain every day to 80 degree days is going to be a welcomed change. I grew up in sunny southern California so I’m so lucky that I’ll have all my friends and family closer to me. Even though we are very sad to leave our family here in Oregon we’ll always have a place here since my husband and kids are all native Oregonians.

Its going to be a great change for so many reasons. We finally are in the position of needing a larger home and it has come to that time to move South. We have been planning this for some time and that time came sooner than next summer like we had expected. It will be a little hard on our oldest but we will do our best to get her into different programs and get her right back into the swing of things. Hopefully our girls will easily adjust to our new home and new community.

We’re looking forward to this exciting next adventure of our life!!

If you need to get in contact with me this week please use the appropriate contact methods found on my contact page.

Have you ever moved to another state?

Nice move! Hope it is good for you all. We used to live in Port Orchard WA and I hear you about the rain. It was never ending.

Good luck in your new adventure!! We are planning on moving our family of 4 in the Spring…but that is just to another suburb…lol. I think I would lose my mind with anything farther then that!

Congratulations on your move! We just moved back to SoCal after a three-year detour in the south. (We made it 18 mths before we decided we wanted to be back in California!) You’re going to love it here! It does get chilly in the winter in some areas, but it’s a wonderful place to raise a family and we’re only sorry it took so long for us to get back! Good luck on the move! It’s quite a trek, especially with kids, but you’ll get through it and enjoy it all — take a lot of pictures for great memories later, and travel safe!
