It’s the most wonderful time of year but it’s also the busiest time of year. You’ll often find us entertaining guests and sharing family meals. When I need a quick dessert in a pinch I almost always pick a pie. What I love about pie is how quick and easy it is and everyone seems to enjoy pie!
When I need a meal in a flash I always look for simple ingredients in my freezer isle. The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association wants you to know that your holiday meals can be delicious and easy and fast. With a little help from fresh and frozen foods your dishes will be a hit! EasyHomeMeals.com has a number of great resources for busy family’s like ours.
To create an easy holiday dessert pie I wanted to use what I had on hand. When berries are in off seasons a great way to get fresh berries is frozen. I always keep frozen berry blends and blueberries in the freezer for those quick and easy meals.
Ready to bake frozen pie dough, refrigerated dough crust and heavy cream from the dairy isle all top off this pie.
