Brooklin has been in gymnastics for 2 years now and it’s been such a great way for her to learn balance and the psychical challenge has been really good for her very busy little body. She’s great at gymnastics too and her teachers want to move her to a Mini Stars Team where she would compete around the state with other talented children her age.
Brooklin decided that after watching me go to dance class every week that she too wanted to take dance. What Brooklin doesn’t realize is that shes not 6 years old, she’s still only 4 and at 4 years old you have to start dance with ballet. It’s the foundation to all dance and will offer Brooklin the ability to work on skills she’s not strong in. Like grace and patience.
She’ most excited about costumes, makeup and being on stage. Her dance teacher has photos from dance recitals in her office so Brooklin’s favorite thing to do is sit and look at the pictures. All eyes on Brooklin right on a big stage, she says she’ll feel like a real princess! See being 4 is still fun and so adorably cute!
In true Brooklin style…….
My little daydreamer.
I loved your comment about your little girls dreams; it never really goes away though does it? I recently resigned as a secondary school teacher to raise our daughter full time. On the last prom I went to I remember looking over and seeing three girls – between the ages of 16-17 – twirling and looking down at their dresses. So wonderfully and unexpectedly innocent!

That is so sweet! There is truly something precious about little girls dancing. It’s like you can see the magic as it happens in their eyes. A friend of ours’ little ones are in dance and gymnastics together with my little one and they have such a lovely time with it.
Wow! You must be so proud! I am waiting for my baby’s turn too 🙂
I remember when my daughter started ballet classes – it is such a precious time for them. Proud parents will be going to a few dance recitals in the coming years.
Oh she is just too too cute! A daydreamer. 🙂
