It’s almost time to pack the school lunch boxes and for our family that means a healthy school lunch almost every day of the week.

The nation’s largest baking company, Bimbo Bakeries USA is bringing a new way to snack from Sara Lee. Sara Lee, an American icon is introducing a variety of pre-portioned delicious Snack Cakes to lunch boxes nationwide this August. Just in time for back-to-school, the new, baked fresh to go Snack Cakes make it easy to take along the quality and heritage of the Sara Lee brand to consumers on-the-go, for anytime snacking.

We were sent a number of product samples and they will be great additions to my kiddos Friday school lunches! You can find Sara Lee Snack Cakes in stores now and find more information on Facebook.

    Don’t knock it until you try it but the kids love a corn tortilla hot off the stove spread with chunky Peanut Butter then fold it in half and serve with cold milk. Great snack.

    My kids love fresh fruit and veggies so I always have those on hand… the veggies are easy because they can be cut up ahead of time (celery, carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers)

    An easy snack for my daughter is Tortilla Pizzas: spread spaghetti sauce and shredded cheese on a tortilla and microwave for a few seconds, just until the cheese melts.
