Baby Safety Month: The BRITAX BOULEVARD 70-G3 Convertible Car Seat – Giveaway!

You are here: Home / Giveaways / Baby Safety Month: The BRITAX BOULEVARD 70-G3 Convertible Car Seat – Giveaway!

Giveaways

September is Baby Safety Month which is intended to to help educate parents and caregivers. So car seat safety is a great topic to highlight. One of the most important purchases that many parents will make is a car seat. This seat will be what will protect your little one during any crashes and impacts for a long time to come. Car seats have come a long way, and I mean more than just designs and looks.

Nearly one in four of all motor vehicle crashes involve children being impacted from the side so it is important to think about all the features a car seat really has and the safety that companies like BRITAX put into their seats can provide a peace of mind.

But what makes BRITAX car seats a smart choice the level of safety testing. BRITAX uses their own crash test simulators which keep their seats conforming to strict global requirements and they are built with quality in the USA. And even though the US does not have any federal regulatory standards, BRITAX uses European test methods to evaluate designs on how well their car seats protect and support a child’s head along with making sure to minimize head, chest and pelvis acceleration which makes for BRITAX having the most safety features on the market.

The BRITAX BOULEVARD 70-G3 keeps Mia or Brooklin safe in many ways. The protection and structural integrity will protect and divert any crash forces away from my child keeping them safe and in place.

And this can be seen on the BOULEVARD first off when attaching the car seat by the anchor points that are attached to the metal frame. The seat is built with metal bars to create a frame to preventing forward flex and bending during any impact.

The BRITAX HUGS™ Chest Pads with SafeCell Technology® help to create a wider and softer impact on a child’s chest instead of your normal car seat strap. The honeycomb design not only ensures proper positioning of the upper buckle but also works t reduce forward movement. This is important because reducing forward movement reduces the risk of head injury and head injury is the leading cause of vehicle crash-related deaths for children up to 12 years of age and also is about 65 percent of injuries in both frontal and side impact crashes, according to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The car seat is built in mind with protection from side impacts and BRITAX convertible car seats use a deep and rigid shell which is lined with energy-absorbing foam providing Side Impact Protection. BRITAX has been a pioneer in side impact technologies.

But there is more safety than just side impact. The bases have SafeCell Technology® which are designed to absorb and compress during a crash and helps to greatly reduce the center of gravity bring the pressure and forces directly off of a child. The True Side Impact Protection head restraint works to keep the head, neck and spine aligned which is also great for those long road trips, especially when they want to take a nap. They can rest comfortably but are still entirely safe and secure.

And for an added level of protection for rural roads, high speed roads, or a peace of mind, BRITAX’s patented Energy Absorbing Versa-Tether’s two-point attachment connects the seat to other anchor points in your vehicle. This reduces forward movement and rotation by using BRITAX’s patented staged-release tether webbing. Using the Versa-Tether along with all the other safety features makes for the most advanced protection to children.

Britax Boulevard 70-G3 Convertibl car seats (5)

The BRITAX BOULEVARD 70-G3 convertible car seat can be used for babies from 5 to 40 pounds in rear-facing position and forward can be used from ages 1 year and 20 pounds all the way up to 70 pounds. We also decided to test the seat with Brooklin forward facing and even she thought it was a comfortable ride.

As a parent I want the products I use to not only be safe but also are easy to not mess up. I really liked the design of the lower clips which I found made buckling between those little legs much easier.  If you’re looking for a safe car seat that will grow with your child, the The BRITAX BOULEVARD 70-G3 convertible car seat is a great choice!
