The Frigidaire Professional™ 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven – Giveaway

You are here: Home / Fun Foods for Families / The Frigidaire Professional™ 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven – Giveaway

Fun Foods for Families Giveaways

So we were asked if we wanted to try out the Frigidaire Professional™ Infrared Convection Toaster Oven we were actually very eager to use it. We had previously used our home oven and microwave (as needed) to warm and heat things up. And of course of sliced bread and bagels and such we had out toaster. To be honest we are not fans of the microwave and prefer to heat our food up in pots and pans, but sometimes it comes in handy for quick cooking.

With it being summer time, cooking is kept to a minimum during the hot summer days. Food is prepared from cold foods, sandwiches, salads, fruits. But sometimes the oven just has to be used.

We didnt really think about what all we would cook with it, but we set it up and began to give it ago. First thing we made was a pizza. Its pretty simple with the pizza option being preset. We set the size and temp and it cooked it just right.

What is also nice is it uses infrared cooking and convection for airflow means quick heat up. You can take your food and put it in and cook for your time, no waiting for preheating making the overall cooking time less.

It was from there I think I was convinced that our new Frigidaire Professional™ Convection Toaster Oven was going to become used a lot in our household. And after some months of use, we use this thing for almost everything, except what we want to cook out on the grill.

We use our toaster oven to cook everything from chicken nuggets and corn dogs, to fish fillets, and some juicy new your strips. We have been able to make some many more foods with ease openin up our kitchen to some new foods. One example is bacon. This toaster oven makes cooking bacon so easy. You can control its crispiness. I have become the chef of sandwiches with some bacon, good old fashioned BLTs… PERFECT!

Bacon (2)

And just as easy as it is to cook bacon, we use our little oven to cook full steaks. With the bake and broil option it makes oven cooking a snap. You can fully adjust the temperature for both baking and broiling, along with a easy to use auto-off timer.

The preset settings include a settings to heat bagels, toast, bake, broil, pizza, cookies, reheat, and warm. You ca adjust each settings temperature which makes it just like a miniature ovn, which is great for small spaces or to cut back on wasting energy and creating extra heat. It has replaced all out heating appliances minus the stove top and propane grill.

So it makes cooking everything easy. From drying herbs, to cooking frozen foods, this things does it all. Plus it has a lot of space to cook a full size pizza. Cookies is pretty simple, turn a knob and hit a button, maybe mike an adjustment or two depending on your needs.

And of course this replaced the toaster. The Frigidaire Toaster Oven can also cook up to 6 slices of toast or English muffins. And you can adjust the temperature controlling the darkness you want your bread to be.

What I like most is the ease of use. We can use to to just keep food warm while preparing other food which is great for making bigger meals and for entertaining. It is simple to pick what kind of cook setting. So making cookies is simple and broiling a steak at high heat is just as easy.

Check out the other Frigidaire Professional Line of Kitchen appliances for the matching coffee maker, toaster, and slow cooker.

The oven comes with a crumb tray which is easy to remove to shake off and or clean. The oven has a bright and clear backlight blue display with a 2″ x 2.5″ display. The small yet wide profile has a width of about 18″ and depth of 14″ and a overall height of almost 12″ and comes with a pizza and baking pan and the cooking rack is reversible.

I live alone and cooking in a regular oven doesn’t make a lot of sense unless it’s something that needs the room, like a layer cake, cookies, roasted vegetables, etc. The toaster oven would be great to prepare freshly cooked meals while conserving energy.

I would use the Convection Oven to cook just about everything! There are times I want to make something small but hate turning on the regular oven (especially during the summer when its so hot) that I have been wanting one of these for a while. This fall I’d use it to make breakfast for the kids… bacon and sausages, toast and muffins.
