Breakfast at Sazerac – Seattle, WA

Family Travel With Kids

While in Seattle we of course have to find places to eat and things to do. We came across the Hotel Monaco some years ago after staying there and reached out to Sazerac, a restaurant next to the Hotel Monaco. It is a pretty spot and has a open chef and cook area which makes the experience open and inviting. And Sazerac is a very lively place during dinner time. which we have experienced. They also have a full lunch menu, wood fired pizzas, and so much more so check them out.

We reached out to them to see about a breakfast visit and they accepted our invitation on the house. We like this place because its a few blocks south and east from the waterfront and passes by one of my favorite buildings, which is another story for its own reasons. Its an easy walk and in between the waterfront and other places to see.

So we all went traditional breakfasts. We first started off with a bowl of fresh berries for the kids. Fruit is important to us, and living in Berry country, we never pass up berries.

Dad went with his 2 eggs any style plate which came with Homefries, toast, Applewood Smoked Bacon. There is the choice of Sage Sausage, Andouille Sausage or Country Ham. Mom choose herself scrambled eggs, sage sausage, Homefries and toast.

Dad also enjoyed himself a Spicy Bloody Mary, Sazerac has their own twist and many of their own signature drinks, so why not?

Kaila choose some good old fashioned Emerald City French Toast and Brooklin went with a more refined breakfast of an egg, slice of bacon and biscuit.

And Mia ate a little bit of everything. We all ate a little bit of everything.

Chef Jason McClure makes sure that the menu is quality and does a nice job fusing tastes from the south along with the beautiful foods of the Northwest.

Now, what I want to add about Sazerac is the quality of the food they use. Breakfast to us is very important, and while being out of town a good breakfast is even more important. We usually find breakfast to be a hit and run, when it comes to quality ingredients. But what you do get and will know is that Sazerac provides quality no matter what meal it is and that is why we have continued to visit Sazerac when possible.
