Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Road To A Cure With Team In Training #LLSTNT

Giveaways Uncategorized

In many ways cancer has affected my life, close loved ones and friends have fought and some continue to fight on. I have a friend who is fighting a rare form of blood cancer and even if technology and medicine is advancing we still need to fund initiatives that are fighting for cures.

As a busy mom who also enjoys fitness I think programs like Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training® mean so much to me because of one special little girl in my life.

This is Kayla, her mom Sandra is one of the most important people in my life. When Kayla was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia their life changed. Just a week later Sandra’s husband Jimmy was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. For the next two years their family would battle – they spent Christmas in the hospital and I can’t tell you how much worry and fear Sandra went through.

Today Kayla is going into 4th grade she’s happy and healthy and is winning her battle. The fear and the fight is not over for their family and not for ours.

I am proud to join the thousands of runners, walkers, cyclists hikers, and triathletes who will participate in the world’s major marathons, half marathons, centuries, hiking adventures and triathlons this year. And if you’re looking for a program to fit your busy schedule, now there’s TNT Flex, a flexible, customized, online training option developed by TNT’s renowned coaches. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training ® will make them happen!! By participating it’s also an easy way I can help support my loved ones who are fighting blood cancers.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training ® are going to give one of my readers a gift bag. The bag includes a shirt, pens, mug, sunscreen and other goodies!!

I really enjoy coupon/promotion shopping and we always give to our local food banks. I know many families enjoy getting the “good stuff” rather than the outdated cans that I used to see as a child when my parents sometimes had to go to the food bank…

I know that her entire family has fought so hard and miss Kayla is such am awesome little kid!

I personally have not had to deal with cancer, I have witnessed first hand my close friends and family with their family or friends and I would be that person there if anyone needed.

I do support my local pre-school/sitter and give waht I can.
